Accessible Art at BC Children's Hospital's Sunny Hill Health Centre for Children
Our next group art therapy session is happening August 27th. This is restricted to the in patients & out patients of the BC Children's Hospital's Sunny Hill Health Centre For Children and their caregivers as well as family.
In the session with the help of audio engineer Arturo, Steph incorporates painting, analog photography portraits as well as music therapy and DJ vinyl records.
This art therapy event is for children and youth who live with complex medical, physical and developmental needs. It caters to children who have conditions affecting their physical, motor or sensory development or have acquired a brain injury, prenatal exposure to alcohol or other drugs, cerebral palsy, or autism. The unique nature and complexity of their needs may make it difficult to find all the support they need at home or in their community which is where art can play a vital role in development.
